Where are my notes stored?
Your notes are stored entirely in your own iCloud Drive account, inside a dedicated Simple Notes folder. We have no access to your notes — they are private to you and synced by Apple across your devices.
Why can't I see my notes on another device?
Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID on both devices and that iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings → [your name] → iCloud. Notes may take a moment to sync, especially on a new device or slow connection.
How do I organise my notes into folders?
Tap the folder icon in the toolbar to create a new folder. You can drag notes into folders on macOS, or use the "Move to Folder" option in the note's context menu on iOS.
How does search work?
The search bar searches both note titles and the full content of your notes. Title matches appear in the first section and content matches in the second. Only notes that have been downloaded locally can be searched by content.
How do I delete a note or folder?
Swipe left on a note (iOS) or right-click it (macOS) and choose Delete. Deleting a note removes it from iCloud permanently — it cannot be recovered from within the app, but it may remain in iCloud's Recently Deleted for a short period.
I found a bug — how do I report it?
Email simon@himon.dev with a short description of what happened and what you expected. Screenshots or screen recordings are always helpful.
